Second off, if anyone said it, is it true? I love animals and have followed a vegetarian diet for years. All the same, I’m definitely nowhere near a saint, particularly given my now-and-again deviations into the hypocracy of eating fish. My father was wicked to his family, yet tears rolled down his cheeks when he heard that local geese were slaughtered. Hitler and was a vegetarian for the last part of his life.       2. I had read the poems in a hurry before, but sometimes I reread poems to really get it. They are all beautiful, but the way you captured the dog one 🙂

      1. You are so welcome!! I do to.. I don’t think I scrolled to the bottom of her post so I’m so glad you posted it so I could read your poem and the plethora of books you have written.
        Aw what a wonder dog Clifford was. Our animals are so near and eat to our hearts. We have our dear King Charles Cavalier spaniel, Harry that will be 13 in Dec if he makes it that long. He has been lame for 18 min now but still happy and not in pain but my husband gets up 2-4 times a night with him.( he’s a saint). I
        Move him around all day and he barks when he needs to go out. So sad but like you say, we will do anything for our family members.
        All is good with me Cheyrl, thanks and I hope with you as well!

      da-AL is the author of the rest of this post. I believe that she used Hitler as an example of the love between humans and animals. Hitler was an evil, loathsome monster who seemed to have lost all feeling for his fellow human beings, but loved his dog, Blondi. da-AL also said that her father, a man who had little feeling for human beings, cried about geese being slaughtered.

These days we just enjoy the wildlife in our yard. We have a rabbit and an armadillo in residence and are surrounded by squirrels and beautiful birds. 🙂 Have a great week! Cheryl
