Blog, Here I Come!

Second vaccine shot.

Fever, next day spent sleeping,

a few lazy days.

New prescription

with dramatic side effects

from three half-doses.

Days spent researching

dietary strategies,

drug alternatives.

No time for learning

how to use the new smart phone…

drinking cabbage juice!

Fighting frustration…

painting for relaxation…

Nothing I will post!

Blogging difficult…

computer going haywire.

Locked out of emails!

Done trouble-shooting

with scammers online…Today,

it’s Apple Pie Tech!

Equanimity!

Technology overhauled.

Blogging, here I come!

I missed all of you! 🙂

I have had trouble commenting for several days, and then got locked out of my email. My WordPress seems to be working normally again. I am feeling better and glad to be back!

I hope you are well. Stay safe and be happy! ❤

    1. Wow, Frank! Negotiating with the airline sounds almost as bad as debating the IRS! Technology is wonderful, but I agree that it is terribly energy and time-consuming when it goes wrong! I am sorry that you can relate to the poem. It seems we all get our turn for frustration! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Have a great day! 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Penne. Immunity means a lot, well worth a couple of days of discomfort! 🙂 Much better than having the virus again. I hope the low rate of vaccinations in Texas does not result in another wave. Take care of yourself. ❤ Have a spectacular day!

    1. Thank you for your encouraging words, Laura! ❤ Means a lot.

As you probably know, cabbage juice is used for gastritis and ulcers. It tastes better than it sounds and is very soothing. Until I see the GI doctor again, I am doing research and "doctoring" myself with natural remedies. I am feeling much better, and maybe the doctor will not torture me too much!

      Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Scott. ❤ My mother often quoted the old saying, "When it rains, it pours!" I think we all take our turn with aggravation! 🙂

  3. Cheryl, lovely to see you back and good news that your tech hassles are sorted out! Hope new drugs and diet are all sorted and as I’ve just had my second vaccine I’m waiting to see if there are any side-effects. The painting sounds like a lovely relaxing creative time … a pity you don’t intend to share here!

Wishing you a peaceful weekend! xx 😀🌺

    1. Thank you, Annika, for your encouraging words. It is such a pleasure to have “like” buttons and comments working again! I am feeling better “doctoring” myself with diet and natural remedies. When I see the doctor, maybe he won’t torture me too much!

I promise to share the painting when I produce one that isn’t a train wreck! 🙂

Congratulations on being fully vaccinated. I hope you do not suffer ANY side effects! ❤ Have a great weekend!

  4. Congratulations on working through all those challenges! Years ago, I tried 1/4 does of neurontin/gabapentin at night for what seemed to be a chronic pain issue. I was so groggy I could barely make it to the bathroom without holding on to the wall. Alternative/holistic therapies worked over time, without the side effects. Best wishes with the alternative healing possibilities.

    1. JoAnna, Thank you for your kind response and for sharing your experience. ❤ I am intolerant to many drugs, so it is worth a try to go the natural route whenever possible! I am feeling quite a bit better. As for challenges, I think we all take our turn and can laugh about them after the fact! 🙂

All the best to you. Have a great weekend! ❤

  5. What a frustrating few days for you! I’m glad you’ve had your second vaccination shot – I hope it gives you the best protection possible. I hope the side-effects from your new prescription ease off as well unless you end up having to swap it out for something else. Don’t even get me started on scammers, they seem to be everywhere lately on calls, emails and texts. Grrr! Glad you’re back on the blog and your emails. I hope the weekend goes a little more smoothly for you with a lot less hassle and frustration!

    1. Thank you, Caz, for your kind words and good wishes. ❤ I cannot take that prescription, so I have done a lot of research on natural remedies and am "doctoring" myself. I am feeling quite a bit better and hoping that when I see the doctor this week, he will not torture me too much! 🙂

I think we all take our turn with periods of multiple challenges. When we are beyond them, they are something to laugh about. 🙂

Take care. ❤ Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

  6. Thank you, Anisha! I am doing much better. I think we all get our share of tough times. We can laugh about it when it’s over. 🙂 I will try to get some paintings I can post. The subject I have been trying to paint is a birthday gift for Robert, whose birthday is in September. I will keep trying!

I hope you have a lovely week ahead! Stay safe. ❤

    1. I am making good progress on long covid. 🙂 I have ruled out any worsening of heart disease, am working with my gastroenterologist on restoring normal digestion. Many health issues have been resolved. It has been quite a year since we got covid, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Your concern is very much appreciated. ❤ Hope all is well with you.

  7. I got my first shot of vaccine this past Sunday. Didn’t felt much until I returned home and slept for 3+ hours. By the end of the evening, I was sweating a little and my pulse rate was low. Got back on the bed for 2 more hours of sleep.
And that was all for me 🙂

  8. That sounds like a lot of frustration and hard work just to get back to the status quo. I am glad you’ve got things sorted, and that you’ve had your vaccinations.

This poem is another splendid one to come out of less than ideal circumstances! Thank you for taking the time to share it, as it is always good to read the words you pen so capably. 😊
