Thank you, Michel, for sharing this lovely French lullaby. I can’t hear the melody, but I imagine it to be very soothing. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. I hope you are well. Fond regards, Cheryl
Such a lovely message for all young children that are having to deal with such uncertain time.
With that, I will swim in a fantasy in my happy place. Thanks Cheryl!
Cindy, Thank you for your kind comments. I think you are right. If adults are experiencing insomnia, what must children, who have so little control over their situation, be feeling? I hope you slept well. Have a great day! Cheryl
Hi Cheryl,
You are most welcome. It truly is important we model behavoir for children. It is such a huge issue for adults. I did and hope you did as well! Thanks you too… It’s a busy one… ❤️Cindy
That painting is gorgeous! I loved the colours you used there. And the poem fits really well with the painting! Brilliant post, I loved how wholesome everything was! Take care!
Thank you so much, Introverted Thoughts, for your kind comments. I am glad you liked the painting and the poem. Some of my books are written for young readers, ages 8 and up, and some are for adults. Though I assume everyone blogging is an adult or young adult and sometimes write about “adult” themes, I try not to stray too far from wholesome. All the best! Cheryl
Of course!
And that’s a really good effort because your blog makes everyone feel included every time they visit. I personally find your poems meaningful and deep at the same time, as a teen. Do take care and stay safe!
Introverted Thoughts, I am so glad that you find my posts meaningful as a teen. There are many very mature teens blogging now, and I find their posts quite refreshing and very insightful. It makes me happy that young people are taking an interest in the problems society is facing and are determined to work on solving them. Stay safe and be happy! Cheryl
Thank you so much for your generous comments! As my father used to say, you “don’t miss a trick!” This is one of the paintings I did last year, and the haiku was written to go with it. I am glad you think they go well together. Your support means a lot to me, Kate! Stay safe and be Happy! Cheryl
Radhika, Thank you for your kind comment. I am so happy you liked the poem.
Before our two youngest children came from Russia, I bought and refinished an antique rocking chair, They were age four and six, but may not have been rocked as infants. When I rocked and sang to my four-year-old daughter for the first time, she sighed a huge, deep sigh. I will never forget that moment! Her six-year-old brother also enjoyed being rocked for a little while.
This seems like a wonderful dream, Cheryl.
The soft colors are reminiscent of a bright day in spring.
They flow gently through the thoughts and make the dreamer happy and weightless.
From this dream one can wake up refreshed.
Greetings from the beautiful Rhine-Highlands / Germany …

Rosie, I am overwhelmed by your beautiful comments on my painting. I am just learning poured painting from YouTube tutorials. I hope to work on this technique again when the weather is cool enough to paint outside.
Thank you, Kritika, for taking the time to read and comment. I am so glad you like the painting! When it gets cool enough to work outside, I plan to do some more poured paintings.
Sometimes current events are enough to make us wakeful. I wish you very pleasant and adventurous dreams!
Thank you for your ongoing concern about my health. I am continuing to return to normal and was able to eat salads this week. Yay! I missed raw vegetables so much.
You take care of yourself as well. You seem to be having a very productive period in your writing. Cheryl
You are welcome always 🙂
I would add that it is our choice. If we want the present to be productive then we can make it, regardless of the situation we are living in.
Glad that you are recovering and having salads. Sounds yummy to me. Loving your paintings and words as always.
I am trying hard to improve my writing.
Take good care you too Cheryl 🙂
Thank you, Subbashini, for taking time to read and comment. I am so glad you enjoyed the poem. Stay safe and be happy! May all your dreams come true! Cheryl
Exactly what I plan on doing when I close my eyes and sleep tonight. Just going to enjoy the beauty in my mind blowing dreams and embrace it fully!😊💤💚.
And I absolutely love the painting. Brilliant choice and mix of colours.
Thank you Joel for your kind comments. I am glad you enjoyed the painting. I am still learning poured painting on youtube and will do more when the weather is cool enough to paint outside. Pleasant dreams! Cheryl
Thank you, Rishika, for your kind comments. I am happy you like the poem and the painting. Poured acrylic paintings are easy to do, and the results are partly due to chance. Look on youtube for tutorials if you are interested. Gilly Kube in Australia and Molly’s Artistry, in Florida, are two sites I like. I am waiting till cool weather to do some more paintings. They are pretty messy to do indoors. All the best! Cheryl
This the most soothing lullaby that doesn’t even have to be a song. I love the soft, imaginative colors in the painting. Like always, you’ve got a beautiful composition of the fluid. I can’t wait to see a black and gold fluid art from you.
Thank you, Shanu, for sharing your thoughts on this post. I am happy you liked the poem and the painting. I hope to do more painting when the cool weather arrives, and I have to buy more paint and canvases.
Black and gold were the colors of my high school, Buffalo Gap, “home of the bison.” Maybe I should do a black and gold painting! I will be watching for some paintings from you!
Are you back in school, or are you doing remote learning? Take care, Cheryl
Oh Yes, that’s a sweet night poem. 😍😍

Close your pretty eyes
Because the hours are short
In the wonderful land
In the beautiful land of dreams

Hi Cheryl.
Sure. I might not be painting for some time, but I will be looking out for work from you.
To answer your question, schools haven’t reopened here yet. Maybe, I’m happy with that too.
Always,
S.
