Cozy pajamas,

no neckties and no high heels…

My laptop and me.

Working, learning remotely,

As the coronavirus pandemic comes to an end, families who have been working and learning remotely may be returning to school and to the workplace. Though most are eager to return to normalcy, many will have moments of nostalgia over “pajama days.” Fido will miss them.

  5. Great poem Cheyrl describing our entire family during the hoidays.
    It is heaven to have that time chilaxing between clients which almost looks like workout clothes anyway. lol . Looks like we will be having more normalacy sometime in the future and then we’ll wish we were still in them. ❤️ Cindy

  7. I don’t think I want to go back to wearing normal clothes, they’re so uncomfortable! But no sign of an end to lockdown here, so I will enjoy my pyjama days while they last! Heartwarming poem, Cheryl ❤️

  12. Nice poem describing well what the lockdown was and the relaxing way of life, Cheryl. But in the long run some people get bored of not being sufficiently in touch with real life.

    1. Haha! Fido reading was Robert’s favorite part of this post as well. 🙂 Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I agree that most of us hate lockdown and soon tire of being home all the time. We want our real life back! Time spent with family is the silver lining of this oppressive cloud.

  18. Simple and beautiful, and hits the correct chords Cheryl, I love this poem💖 for me work from home is continuing, and it was frequent work from home even before the lockdown. Interestingly it was more pajama days earlier, with lockdown came the advent of more video calls, and sometimes they have to capture evidence through group photos, so one needs to be presentable at short notice 🙂
    But with lockdown we have changed our lifestyle quite a bit, invested on good headsets, taken calls while shopping, playing with kids, doing household chores, a more busy, yet more fulfilling routine I think. We will certainly miss it once these days are gone.
    Is that fido in the last picture 🙂?

    1. Thank you, Deb, for sharing your interesting lockdown experiences and perspectives. ❤ So glad you like the post. Fido is a popular dog's name I chose for the poem. I don't know what the dog in the picture is named. 🙂 We may be able to put into practice some of the lessons we have learned from lockdown. Some of the ways of working you describe remind me of the days of "cottage industries" before the industrial revolution.
