February

February

Warm, sunny day.

Oak tassels sway

in the spring breeze…

It’s enough to make you sneeze!

Soon palms in bloom

will spread sweet perfume.

My Florida pride…

Sentiment leaves me teary-eyed!

Pollen is in the air,

love is everywhere.

Cupid is at play…

Happy Valentine’s Day!

To My Fellow Bloggers:

I have missed you. First, my 2013 computer died. I bought a new computer and got data transferred from the old computer. Two days later, our internet went off and stayed off for 10 days! No grocery deliveries, no TV, no computer, no house phone…When the internet came back on, I had 695 Emails. We are in the middle of many medical appointments, both for Robert and for me. I am also involved in a project that has been delayed by having no internet. I don’t think I will be up to speed for some time, but I will do my best!

Glad you like the poem, Kate. thank you so much for your empathetic response. We are in the middle of a building boom and the internet provider is overwhelmed, I think.

I go to the neurologist four weeks from now. I am undergoing some tests and seeing my dentist and eye doctor to rule out possible causes for my migraines before I see the neurologist. Hopefully, she can help.

I watched some of your videos this morning. They are lovely! XO

oh that’s very sweet but watching videos probably doesn’t help migraines.

My youngest brother used to suffer severe migraines … doctor advised him right diet, plenty of sleep and less caffeine. Once he got that together they stopped completely.

But sadly with our ageing process many things can complicate it. So best to get checked by everyone. Rest well and a swift recovery Cheryl 🙂

Thank you for your wonderful comment, Selma! <3

When we moved here four years ago, our neighborhood had only a few scattered houses among wooded lots. In the last couple of years, we have been in the middle of a huge building boom. My guess is that the internet company is overwhelmed and can’t keep up with demand. They will have to update, and maybe some competition will also move in.

I bought the same model of computer I bought in 2013 for less than half the price I paid then. The transition has been pretty smooth, but I still have a learning curve! I have two appointments for this week, and Robert has two. I will still try to catch up!

      Happy February to you! XOXO

It’s wonderful to hear from you again Cheryl. I can only imagine the frustration of a dead computer followed by internet woes. Your poem brought a smile to my face, even with the pesky pollen.

Don’t worry about catching up too quickly. Take your time, prioritize your health and well-being, and know that we’re here to support you along the way. Happy Valentine’s Day to you too ❤️🫂

Cheryl, a lovely light poem that touches upon the dichotomy of the beauty of upcoming Spring and the insufferable pain of hay fever. My husband and son suffer dreadfully although both have found excellent help. Yikes! Ten days without a computer when you are so dependent on it. I hope everything is working okay for you now. Wishing you and your husband well with your medical appointments. Take care, Annika xx

Thank you for your thoughtful reply, Annika! Robert and I have been sniffling and sneezing for several days. I hope the hay fever is under control at your house. I am getting accustomed to the new computer. This week, a second internet company started laying cable in our neighborhood. That is good news.😊 Happy Spring! 🌺

Oh, those sneezes and sniffles are horrid and I know at its worst almost like a flu. Luckily the season does not start in earnest here until May but both my husband and son now have an anti-hay fever injection as they suffer so badly and this works wonders. Enjoy making the new computer all your own and yeah, to the new cabling. I can relate as we are having new cables laid next month and will go from 12 mb download to five hundred – at the moment it is barely workable! Keep well, my friend! Xx
