New Era of Optimism
New leader chosen…
New era of empathy,
integrity, and truth.
New rule of law,
new dawn of democracy…
Call for unity.
Quell the violence.
Preserve the environment.
End the pandemic.
Rejoin the global family
in achieving common goals.

Joe Biden was declared President-Elect of The United States of America today, 10/7/20. Inauguration Day is 1/20/21.
yea, it was the perfect news to wake up to Cheryl!
but doubt the monster will move out without creating global divisiveness as he has done for 4 years 😦

Kate, We’re undoubtedly in for a few months of lawsuits, recounts, rants, and retributions! But then we can rebuild! ❤ Thank you for your remarks and for the posts you have made on this subject. ❤

Thank you, Diana, for your kind comment. I think we can expect several months of legal challenges, recounts, and protests. But I think we are making a course correction. ❤ All the best!

Beautifully stated Cheryl, and hopefully the separations within the community, that ‘He’ deliberately set up, may now start to heal….

Lancaster is west of Philadelphia in beautiful farm country. Many Amish and Mennonites live there and drive horses and buggies.

When you visit your cousins, you might like a day trip to Lancaster. There used to be a narrow-gauge train and a museum or two. Gettysburg Battlefield is another interesting destination. Hershey Park is in the area too. I have been to Philadelphia only once, a long time ago, and toured the old capitol building museum.

Amen Cheryl. And may I also say, Thank God. We desperately need to start finding common ground again. That common ground has to be the freedoms for which our forefathers (and mothers) died for. Has to be. We can’t do that is we are arguing about what reality is. We need to face reality not deny it. Thank you Cheryl – another beautiful poem 🙏

Deb, I appreciate your kind remarks. ❤ I have been so embarrassed by some US actions taken internationally in the last four years. I look forward to fences being mended both domestically and abroad. Issues like global warming and the pandemic need worldwide cooperation. We also need to honor the agreements we have made. Thank you so much for your good wishes. ❤ I hope you had a pleasant break. 🙂 All the best! Cheryl

The alternative to working together is such a dismal prospect! I am encouraged at how elections officials have publicly upheld the election laws even though they knew their jobs were at stake. That’s a belief in democracy and personal courage. It gives me hope! 🙂 All the best, Dwight!
