  1. The essence of Christmas distilled! 🎄 for me, the smells are the most evocative. Last year we had an artificial Christmas tree and it didn’t feel like Christmas at all! Wishing you well for the holiday season ❤️

    1. There’s nothing like the fragrance of real evergreens! Here in Florida, they sell beautiful evergreen trees and wreaths at a pretty hefty price, but if you put them up outside, they are brown in days. I hang my artificial wreath, nostalgic for the smell of fresh-cut evergreens.

I hope you get a real tree this year! I know how much you enjoy baking, and I hope you are able to find time to bake and fill your home with delicious holiday aromas! Happy holidays, Ingrid! ❤

    1. Thank you, KK, for your kind remarks. ❤ At Christmastime, I do think our emphasis sometimes becomes too materialistic, so I tried to focus on the spirit and traditions of the holidays in the poem. So glad you enjoyed it. Wishing you joy, now and in the coming year!
