Day-by day, we live on earth.
Face-to-face and virtually, we greet each other.
Eye-to-eye, we often see.
Toe-to-toe, we engage in friendly competition.
Side-by-side, we work together.
Arm-in-arm, we walk along.
Hand-in-hand, we share life’s journey.
Moment-by-moment, we face life’s uncertainties.
Heart-to-heart, we know we are not alone.

I intended this as a poem about friendship and did not write it specifically for Valentine's Day. I thought it fit the holiday, so I went with it. "Desert Rose" was the Valentine I had written for Robert and posted early because I was not sure how his cataract surgery would go. I am so happy that he is doing great! He is my perfect Valentine! ❤

Quite a cute couple the two of you make. I always like to add foot in hand for all the times my Valentine’s has grabbed me/rescued me from the proverbial edge. My hopes this year we can experience each of those wonderful lines and get back to the sauce that makes humanity so special.
