    1. Thank you, Pragalbha, for your lovely response. I have believed in equal rights all my adult life, and a lot of progress has been made. As your comment implies, these changes seem to be accomplished gradually over a long period of time. Have a great day! ❤

  2. Reblogged this on Anything is Possible! and commented:
If anything is possible, and thoughts are powerful. as I believe, it couldn’t hurt to spend some time imagining the best. We can do what we can in our space and time, making ripples toward a better world. Thanks to Cheryl for this possibility.

    1. Thank you, usfman, for your thoughtful comment. The poem was posted for International Women’s Day. I had been watching Ukrainian men and women, old and young, working together to defend their country, and decided to write about equality more generally. I am delighted that you read it as you did. ❤ All the best!

    1. “Egalitarian” describes a situation in which all people are being treated as equals. “Utopia “is an imaginary ideal place where everything happens as it should. I looked up “egalitarian” myself to make sure I had used it correctly, Lokesh! Thank you for reading and asking for clarification. ❤ ❤ ❤ Take care!

      1. To live and behave equally, we need to accept the differences we have.

Things from a distance always look beautiful, or sometimes, we have a limited approach regarding serious issues.

I’m happy to know you want an Egalitarian society. I wish the same. Can we add sustainable development to it?

    2. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Loku! I agree that equality does not mean being the same. Differences make the world colorful and interesting and should always be treated with respect. Sustainable development is a very utopian goal, but I think it is achievable if we make the effort! I think you are getting ready to “set the world on fire.”
Wishing you an exciting and fulfilling future! ❤

  3. There is no better goal for humanity as a whole, but it’s your perfectly placed word “working” that people tend to gloss over and I feel it is the only way we can get there – especially in our highly polarized state. Thanks for the reminder there is a better way.
