“One Earth”
The poem,”One Earth” perfectly expresses my perspective on Planet Earth. It will appear in the “Mother Nature” Chapter of Life on the Blue Planet.
Book Fairs & Trade Shows
For the last few weeks, I have been working hard preparing materials for the Children’s Book Expo in Shanghai in November, and the Frankfurt Book Fair, in October. I am also working to prepare for the Taipei Trade Show in February. My books will be exhibited and represented at these events, but I will not be present. If you go, please send me a photo or two! 😊
Dr. Jane Goodall
The world lost a groundbreaking researcher this week. Dr. Jane Goodall, who lived for many years among chimpanzees, died this week at the age of 91. Her reasearch revealed new information about the habits and social life of chimpanzees that revolutionized the way we think about animal behavior. 😄
There are many well-researched tributes to Jane Goodall online. Two that I enjoyed are:
“Instagram: Jane Goodall UK” by Selma Martin, 10/5/25 Selma
“Honoring the Life of Jane Goodall” by Michele Lee, 10/1/25 myinspiredlife.com
Personal Note
Lately, I have to enlarge small print in order to read it. After I have clicked “Reply,” I sometimes discover typos in my comments that I couldn’t see before. I think it may soon be time to schedule my cataract surgery. Please don’t judge me too harshly for the typos.😂
Have a great week!💕
Congratulations, Cheryl, on your wonderful achievements!

The competition is great, Cheryl 😦

Yes, there is a lot of competition. My son once told me that the accomplishment is in writing a book. I think that was very insightful.
Of course, it must be nice when writers achieve commercial success, but the odds may not be in the author’s favor. So why do we continue to write?
We write to share meaningful ideas, information, and experiences with readers, to entertain, to be a positive influence…There are many worthwhile (and some not so worthwhile) reasons for writing.
Rosaliene, I hope you always continue to write. You have something to say. You have a story to tell… and you write with grace and skill. 💕

Book fairs – how exciting! You do know you are an inspiration, don’t you? Take care of yourself and that dear husband of yours and here’s hoping for a smooth cataract surgery/recovery.

Laura, your comment is so kind and encouraging, and I appreciate it so much!
💕 🌻🦋🌸 💕
When I go for my eye appointment in a couple of months, I expect my doctor to say it is time for surgery, but I think that cataract surgery is now very routine, so I am not worried. I just can’t read fine print when I need to, and the typos are a little embarassing. 😂
I was very touched by your daughter’s posts. I hope things are going better for her.
I hope your week is off to a good start! 🌹

Thank you, Michele, for your kind words and support. Glad to hear you like the poem. It is the poem that most clearly states the central message of Life on the Blue Planet. I look forward to reading Jade’s Broken Bridge and learning about all the things Jade is up to! 💕😂💕 She sounds like quite a colorful character.

Your poem is so beautiful and I love the photos as well. Before you mentioned Jane, I thought, this feels like a tribute to her and she will be proud. How exciting your books will be heading to the international book fairs!~. Sooo exciting and never worry about me judging you. I know well the spelling mishaps. Ones who judge will know someday! Hugs and love❤️

Jane has inspired generations of environmentalists. I am thankful for her long life and her legacy. We all continue to benefit from her environmentalism, especially her insights about the wildlife we share the planet with. 🦣🐬🦩🦧 🐢 🦋
I am still chuckling over your remarks about spelling mishaps. It is a sad fact that many older people have issues with sight and hearing, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone! Well, mabye I would wish it on one someone.😂 He goes bonkers if he doesn’t hear applause! 👏
Have a blissful day, Cindy! ❤️

Thank you for this important and beautiful work! The poem reminds me of the meme “There is no planet B.” Though I enjoy science fiction about exploring the universe, it is fiction. Our planet is precious and unique. Thank you for honoring Mother Earth.

Thank you so much for your beautiful and insightful reply, JoAnna!❤️Science fiction has become reality. It is the inspiration for many advances in medicine, science, and technology. It has foreseen environmental challenges and social change.
Though science fiction helps us to imagine life in distant worlds, Earth remains our home, as you rightly remind us. 🌎🌍🌏
