I pledge allegiance to the flag

      I love my country for its ideals, though there are times in our history when we have failed to live up to them.

      I believe we can reclaim the American dream. We can work together in a bipartisan manner, renew our comittment to democracy and the rule of law, and mend fences with our allies. We can have a brighter future.

      I see signs of the pendulum swinging back toward democratic values and the rule of law. I have hope for the future.

      We are celebrating the season by watching fascinating historical documentaries about our country’s founding. Little-known facts are giving us a better perspective about the events of those times.
