Dark chocolate is best enjoyed on its own, but you made sugar sprinkling on dark chocolate feel good 🙂
Somehow reminded me of the college years, that magical period of dusk before the pitch dark of night, and the hurried sweet nothings exchanged between the lovebirds before the student hostel gates closed ☺️
Deb, thank you for sharing your thoughts about the college years…you made me laugh out loud! Good to know you are a fellow chocoholic! Your kind comments about the poem are greatly appreciated! ❤ Have a wonderful weekend! Cheryl
This post reminded me more of food rather than human love! Life of a foodie is so difficult.. Anything u give we relate to our love of life – food! Loved it~♥~
Harini, Thank you for your thoughtful comments. If it’s any consolation, I can’t eat sugar, just stevia-sweetened chocolate. The intention of the poem was to say how sweet love is, not to sabotage you! ❤ Glad you enjoyed the poem. All the best! Cheryl
Love this Haiku Cheryl!!! I will be looking at the sky a little differnt these days and wanting chocolate for sure. Wait, was that from wonders or did you write it? Happy Saturday! ❤️
Thank you Cindy, for your kind response. Yes, I did write the poem. Wonders is one of 5 books of poetry that I have published. For more information, click “Books” on the menu. If you are on a computer, the menu is to the left. You will find excerpts from my books on the menu as well.
I hope you will not experience any power outages. Take care, and Happy Saturday to you! Cheryl ❤
You are so welcome Cheryl!!! That is so cool!! Somehow I missed that piece and I sure will! I do see you quote them often and I didn’t realize that was actually you! LOVE THIS! I will look at your book tab! We’re all good here and I hope with you as well! ❤️ Cindy
Rishika, Thank you for your delightful response. Another fellow chocoholic! ❤ Mine is stevia-sweetened these days, but still delicious. 🙂 Enjoy your chocolate in good health! Cheryl
I would say, scrumptious haiku💖😊 very beautifully crafted. Chocolate, sugar sprinkles and sky, wow what an imagination Cheryl! I would always be looking for them whenever I see the sky🙂❤️
Take care 🌺
Thank you so much, Murali, for your generous comment! I am glad you liked the haiku. Are you a chocoholic too? 🙂
I am doing well. Thank you for asking. I hope things are going well for you. ❤ Cheryl
This poem really made me think. Are the stars and the skies whispering to each other? Are they whispering to the people watching them? Are the people whispering to reach other?
Dark chocolate is the only kind I eat. Sweet nothing whispers and starlight would make it perfect!
